Vocabulary Workshop - Mrs. With's Class

Introducing "Wally" the wacky, Vocabulary Workshop worm.

All "AIG" students will use "Vocabulary Workshop" (level B) beginning second nine weeks.
This program is a continuation of the one used in fifth grade but on a higher level.
Each student is given a copy of the book and it may be consumed. Students are also given a list of successful ways to study these words. We will use many of these methods in class and they can reinforced at home.

Student need to learn words weekly because it is a cumulative program and they will be tested on some of the same words all year.

Students are amazed at how many of these words they see in their reading as they list them on the
WACKY WORD charts.

1. WEEKLY WORK

MONDAY- Students will listen to the unit vocabulary tape in class.

TUESDAY-THURSDAY- Students will use the words in class assignments, games, and homework
assignments.

FRIDAY- Students will take a test of the words to include definitions and spelling.

2. HOMEWORK
